Job Overview

828.Media is seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Reporting Analyst to join our media team. This role is designed for someone with a strong background in data analysis, who can transform raw data into actionable insights that drive media performance and business outcomes. The Reporting Analyst will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and analyzing reports on media campaign performance across various channels, including digital, programmatic, and traditional media.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the strategic direction of client media campaigns by delivering insights that support optimization, efficiency, and accountability.


Key Responsibilities

Data Collection & Management:

  • Gather data from multiple media platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, The Trade Desk, etc.) and proprietary data tools.

  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data inputs to build reliable reports.

  • Organize, clean, and maintain datasets to streamline reporting processes.

Reporting & Visualization:

  • Develop and generate standard and custom reports that track key metrics and KPIs for media campaigns.

  • Create data visualizations and dashboards to provide clear insights and help teams quickly understand campaign performance.

  • Present complex data in an easy-to-understand format for both internal teams and external clients.

Campaign Performance Analysis:

  • Analyze performance metrics such as CTR, conversion rates, CPM, and overall media ROI to identify trends and insights.

  • Provide recommendations for campaign optimizations based on performance data to improve results.

  • Collaborate with the media buying and planning teams to provide actionable insights that support campaign strategies.

Trend Monitoring & Insights:

  • Stay up-to-date on media and advertising trends, bringing new ideas to the team on how to improve reporting and analysis.

  • Track and report on industry benchmarks to contextualize campaign performance.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for improvement within current reporting processes and work to streamline and automate where possible.

  • Implement reporting best practices to ensure high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and clarity.


Key Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, data analytics, or a related field.

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in reporting and data analysis, preferably in a media or advertising environment.

  • Skills:

    • Advanced proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and analytics platforms like Google Analytics.

    • Working knowledge of media platforms and tools such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, The Trade Desk, and DV360.

    • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.

  • Communication: Ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders with clarity.

  • Technical: Experience with SQL, data manipulation, and reporting automation is a plus.
